Godless is an American mini TV series, that takes us back 150 years ago, in the not so distant 1884.
The events take place in a small town in New Mexico, La Belle, where it is inhabited almost entirely by women, since their men died en masse in the mine where they worked. The protagonist is Roy (played by Jack O'Connell), a young man who escaped from the gang he belonged to and is now being hunted by his mentor Frank Grkiffin, who had him as his own son.
The story slowly unfolds, with the events connecting to each other like a puzzle, solving the questions that you creat from the first episode to the last. One of the most fascinating things about the show are the details of the life at that time, leaving you completed stunning.
As the wild west imagines in your mind, that's exactly what it is! Bathing once a week, diseases rule without treatment, with saloons, prostitutes, sheriffs and gangs firing at each other, wiping out entire villages because they want to and generally you watch 7 episodes of hearty enjoyment.
